About Pak Sheung Chuen
Pak Sheung Chuen (born 1977, Fujian Province) is a conceptual artist. Pak obtained an undergraduate degree in fine arts and theology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2002. Between 2003 and 2008, He was a visual arts columnist for the Sunday supplement of Ming Pao Daily News. Pak draws inspiration from lived experiences to create thoughtful and playful performances, instructions and experiments that explore notions of arbitrary, accidentally and uncertainty in the existing structure of the everyday. He represented Hong Kong at the fifty-third Venice Biennale in 2009. He lives and works in Hong Kong.
