About the Collections Beta

Welcome to the M+ Collections Beta!

The Collections Beta provides a window into M+’s collections of twentieth- and twenty-first-century visual culture, which we have been building since 2012. We’ve launched this platform with over 2,830 objects and 2,916 archival items.

This website offers multiple ways for you to interact with and explore the M+ Collections. We’re calling it a ‘beta’ because it will grow and evolve over the coming years, as we continue our research and cataloguing and as we tell new stories about the collections. The Collections Beta builds on our open access approach, which began with the release of the first M+ open data set in August 2018. As a public institution, we are committed to sharing knowledge, and we continue to work towards making the entirety of the M+ Collections available and accessible online.

We would love to hear from you as we build the Collections Beta. Drop us a line at stories@mplus.org.hk.
